General Registration Information:

River Falls Swim Club is a competitive club that is open to school-aged swimmers (6 years of age through high school) who have passed Level IV in Red Cross lesson, “Fish” level in YMCA lessons or who can comfortably swim 1 length each of front and back crawl, and have a working knowledge of the other strokes.  Our coaches help improve your stroke techniques, speed and confidence.

New Swimmers: Please bring a suit, goggles, and towel on registration night for a brief swimming evaluation by the coaches.  If you would like to print out the forms ahead of time, please click: RFSC Registration form and USA Swimming MSI form. Still unsure? We offer a “new swimmer” two week trial period for a non-refundable fee of $40.00 at the beginning of the swim sessions. This trial period is only available for swimmers who have never been in the RFSC.

Returning Swimmers: Mail in your forms ahead of time instead of standing in line! Registration is only valid if all forms & fees are properly filled out and received at RFSC’s P.O. Box before the first day of practice. This is only available to returning RFSC swimmers.

Step 1: Print and fill out RFSC Club Registration Form and MSI forms. Please note: swimmers who already have MSI current through 2010 do not need to renew MSI until Winter Session of 2010-2011.

Fees:

RFSC Fall 2010 Session Fee: $185
MSI (USA Swimming): $55 (only applicable if you are new to RFSC or you do not have 2010 MSI membership)

The RFSC session fees are established by the Board of Directors for the upcoming swimming season. Fees are calculated based on the coaches’ salaries, insurance, pool rental and janitorial service, and the number of swimmers anticipated. (Meet fees excluded--please see swim meets page.) There is a 10% “multiple swimmer discount” available for each additional swimmer per family.

The USA/MSI (Minnesota Swimming Inc.) membership fee is an annual fee required of all swimmers (no multiple swimmer discounts). Included in the USA/MSI membership is insurance covering a swimmer at practices, meets and club functions; access to a swimmer’s sanctioned meet results online via your USA Swim account; and a subscription to the bi-monthly USA Swim magazine “SPLASH”. Yearly membership is for a calendar year (January – December), and memberships processed on or after September 1 are valid all the way through December of the following year.

New Swimmer Two-Week Trial:
We offer a “new swimmer” two week trial period for a non-refundable fee of $40.00 at the beginning of the swim sessions. This trial period is only available for swimmers who have never been in the RFSC.

Late Fees:
A $25.00 late fee will be applied to swimmers who register after the designated Registration period for each session. To avoid a late fee, all registration forms must be completed and all fees paid by the designated registration period.

Refund Policy:
Up to 50% of the unused portion of the registration fee may be refunded, if requested within the first two weeks of a session. Alternatively, the unused portion, less a $25 administration fee, may be credited to future sessions.
