2026 Swim A Thon
Welcome to the 2026 SAT! We host a Swim A Thon biannually to raise funds for the club to be able to provide affordable swim opportunities within the community. Past SAT funds have assisted us with the purchase of the new scoreboard & other equipment that we use every day. This year, we are hoping to raise $7,500 for new equipment (paddles, pull buoys, and more). You can donate using the links below to help us reach our goals. Please be sure to include the swimmer's name in the comment so they are eligible for the incentives! Thank you for supporting RFSC.

FAQs
Have a question about the SAT? Others do too! If your question isn't answered here, email Coach Marissa!

What is a Swim A Thon (SAT)?
A Swim-a-Thon™ is a fun and easy way to raise money for your swim team! Participants earn money by swimming lengths of the swimming pool. Swimmers have a two-hour period in which to swim a maximum of 200 lengths (100 laps or 5,000 yards). Swimmers get pledges from family, neighbors or businesses to support their efforts. Donors can either pledge a certain amount of money per length, or make a flat donation in support of your team.
Why Host a SAT?
RFSC uses the SAT as a fundraiser to enhance our training facility and purchase new equipment. This year, our goal is to raise $7,500 to replace team equipment such as fins, paddles, resistance bands, and other training equipment shared by all levels of RFSC. The Swim-A-Thon is one part of a multi-phase effort to be able to complete these purchases.
When & Where?
Thursday August 6th from 5:30-7:30p at the RFHS pool! Our team potluck picnic, party, and games will follow the Swim-A-Thon in the South Fields of RFHS. This will replace normal practice times for all competitive groups.
Who Can Participate?
Any current or former swimmer of RFSC (whether that be Competitive, Developmental, or Masters!) can fundraise and join us to swim! If you can't swim, that's OK - you do not need to swim in order to fundraise.
Do I Need to Fundraise to Participate?
Yes, in order to participate in the SAT, you must raise a minimum of $50. However, the activities after the SAT are open to all!
I Heard There Are Incentives?
Yes! In addition to the RFSC prizes you can earn along the way, USA Swimming also has a cumulative prize based on the total amount earned as shown to the left.
How Do I Donate?
DonateDonations are accepted via check (made out to RFSC or River Falls Swim Club) or online following the donation link at the top of the page. Please make sure to make a note of the swimmer the donations should be allocated to in order for them to be eligible for incentives!
This process looks different this year due to the change in capabilities of our new platform, Captyn. However, there are NO processing fees with either of these methods of donation. 5% of the total funds raised go to USA Swimming's Foundation to support the sport of swimming in underserved communities.
Is the Donation Tax-Deductible?
Yes! All donations are 100% tax-deductible. Receipts are available upon request.
Can Donations be Made to Multiple Swimmers?
Yes! Please be sure to leave a comment in your transaction to allocate donations to specific swimmers. This will allow the swimmer's donations to be tracked & eligible for incentives!
What is the Fundraising Deadline?
We encourage all swimmers to get the flat donation and collect the money right away. This saves you from having to reach out to people twice. The deadline to turn in funds raised will be Monday August 10, 2026.
